Relink

The “Relink Wizard” allows you to relink files to another location. Access it by clicking on the quick access button Media in the top left corner of Silverstack’s toolbar or by right-clicking on a bin in the library outline and selecting “Relink…”If the file locations of an offloaded card have been modified after offloading, Silverstack displays a missing resource warning for affected clips in the file tab of the right bar.

User interface#

Files
Opens a dialog to select the folder to relink the files to. You need to select a folder to enable the other options.

Items
Separates between all and missing files.

Mark Only Selected
Enables only the selected file in the table for relinking. Right-click on the button to change the function to “Mark All” or “Mark Selected.”

Unmark Selected
Unmarks only the selected file in the table for relinking. Right-click on the button to change the function to “Unmark All” or “Unmark Only Selected.”

Table
The table shows all items with Library Item Name, File Size, Missing Count and Relative File Path. Underneath the table you are informed about the amount of valid files for relinking, e.g. matching 7 of 7 items. Click on a checkbox to enable the relinking for a specific file.

Matching Criteria
Enable the checkbox to choose how many folder names and levels above the resource path of the file are considered as matching criteria.

Options

Replace any missing file resources from the Library for the selected items
When enabled, this will replace the missing file resources with the relinked ones. Otherwise, both file resources (missing and relinked) will be stored in the library. Go to the files tab to view the effect.

Verify files after relink
Runs a verification process for the relinked files by comparing the hashes of the relinked files with the hashes stored in the library.

Input Device
Manually select the recording format of the files. The options are Generic (Any files) and ARRI Cameras.

Start Relink
Starts the relinking process. When no matching clips were found, the process cannot be started.
