Overview of Silverstack’s main user interface
1 Playback view
Shows the video clip.
2 Playback controls
Contains all important playback options.
3 Silverstack’s toolbar
Offers buttons for quick access to offload, add clips, media, export, import, report, transcode, etc.
Some options like “Presets” are exclusive to Silverstack Lab.
4 View tabs
Switches between different view modes like summary, table, collection, and playback.
5 Navigation
Shows bread crumbs. This feature is specifically useful when hiding the library and clip information view.
6 Project chooser
It displays the name of the current project and allows to switch to another one. See more in the associated article.
7 ShotHub sync
The production information stored in ShotHub cloud projects can be accessed through a web application.
8 Timecode
Shows the clip timecode value of the playhead’s current position.
9 Playback view options
Allows you to change between playback modes: single, grid or split view.
10 Visual controls and full screen playback buttons
11 Silverstack’s toolbar
Offers buttons for enabling different UI layouts like files, manage, QC, color and transcode presets (Silverstack Lab) to speed up specific tasks.
12 Miniplayer and scopes
These buttons allow you to enable the miniplayer and scopes (waveform, vectorscope, histogram).
13 Silverstack’s toolbar
These buttons allow you to enable the “Audio & Color” view and toggle the left/right sidebars.
14 General info tabs, look library and transcoding presets
Allows to switch the general info tabs as well as to switch to the look library and transcoding presets.
15 General info
Shows you all available metadata of the selected clip.
16 General info filter
Allows you to filter/search the general info.
17 Jobs summary
Notifies you about successful or failed jobs.
18 Running jobs (workflows) summary and progress
Shows you which job type is currently being executed.
19 Audio & Color panel
Contains all UI elements for audio and color editing.
20 Audio and color tabs
Allows you to switch between the audio and color view.
21 Library/Jobs switch
Allows you to switch between the library and jobs view.
22 Library outline sorting
Offers you different options to sort the library outline.
23 Library outline
Contains the library outline.
24 Info display
Provides the most important information of the selected clip and cannot be edited. Contains also the dynamic metadata panel.

1 Clip thumbnail
You can change the thumbnail. For more details see the associated article.
2 Clip name and duration
If the clip has been labeled, this part contains a colored label.
3 Ingest date and time
4 Audio indicator
Indicates if a clip has audio. Either external (e), internal (i) or both (ie).
5 Flag icon
Indicates that this clip is marked with a flag (from QC) and can be searched and filtered by this criterion.
6 Resource indicator
Indicates the clip’s number of associated resources.
If you see a red-orange circle with a number, this indicates the amount of missing resources for this clip.
