Sending job notifications to Slack
Silverstack allows you to transmit all notifications that appear in the macOS notification center to a connected Slack channel as well. Visit the reference page for Silverstack’s account settings for more information.
Connecting Silverstack to Slack#
Follow the steps below:
- Head to Silverstack’s account settings
- Click the + button on the left side and press Add Slack Notifications…
- A browser sheet opens allowing you to connect your Slack workspace
- Add your workspace
- Enter credentials
- Select Slack channel or private message conversation to send notifications from Silverstack
- You have successfully connected your Silverstack project to Slack
- The “Pomfort Notifier” should appear in the Slack workspace in the section “Apps”

Available actions#
Send Test Message
Sends a test text with content “Test message from Silverstack” to the connected channel to verify a working connection.
Enable notifications for all projects
Enables notifications for all projects.
Enable notifications for ‘Current Project’
Enables notifications for the current project. By default, only the current project is enabled.
Notifications#
After a successful connection, all notifications that appear on macOS will also be sent to the connected Slack channel. The notification messages to Slack include extended information. Notifications are available for all job types in Silverstack.
Basic Information (also in macOS notification):
- Application Name
- Job Type
- Complete (successful) / Failed
- File count and successful/failed files
Extend Information (included in messages to Slack):
- Source card name / folder name
- Destination drive name
- Start date of job
- Machine name (host name)
