Exporting still images
You can export still images very easily with the help of the still image preset panel. The following article explains how to do this.
1. Export still images for one or multiple clips#
In order to export a still from a clip, simply move the playhead to the desired frame within the clip. From the menu, select: Clip > Export Still Image Silverstack now exports as many stills as configured in the still image preset panel.
Silverstack can also export multiple still images at once. That’s possible by selecting multiple clips in one of the following views:
- Playback view (select multiple clips in the timeline)
- Collection view
- List view
Depending on the context in the software, the used still frame position is different:
- Playback and timeline view: The frame at the playhead’s current position is exported for each selected clip (indicated by the timeline ruler)
- Table and collection view: The displayed thumbnail image is exported
Tip: Have in mind that it’s possible to set the position for the creation of thumbnail images via Silverstack’s settings. That is going to allow the export of still images based on the same position while the table & collection view is active. 2. Using multiple still image export presets#
You can create new still image export presets by using the context menu (Right-Click a preset) or clicking the + button in the top right corner of the panel. By default, all still image export presets are used for the export, but you can also exclude presets by disabling the Use for “Export Still Image” checkbox. That way, you can choose individual configurations per preset and save JPEG and TIFF images to different locations, for example.
