Export to Final Cut Pro

Silverstack offers to export clips to Final Cut Pro, including clip metadata and additional information.

1. Export FCPXML from Silverstack#

Select the desired bin or folder in the library. To start the export, you have the following options:

Right-click the bin and click Export to > Final Cut Pro
Use the toolbar button Export and select the dedicated exporter

A new window will open, allowing you to select the files that should be covered by the export. Select the desired assets and their media file paths. When you are ready, click Continue to view the final export options.

By default, all checkboxes are enabled. If you want to export all metadata, keep all options enabled. Regarding the workflow, you can choose to open the clips immediately in Final Cut Pro or save a FCPXML file.

2. Import in Final Cut Pro#

When importing the FCPXML file in Final Cut Pro, a new event is created with one project for each bin, accompanied by the source video and audio clips.

Note: Audio clips are only exported via FCPXML from Silverstack if they were synced to video in before.
