As described in User Roles in Teams and Projects, every team member can create and administrate new projects, including inviting others in the following roles to control their access rights. Please note that users should accept the invitation for a team role first.
Project Roles
Access to ShotHub is limited to authorized users. A user is a person registered with an email address and a password. (Learn more about the “Pomfort Account”: Registering to ShotHub). The information in a ShotHub project can be shared among several users. Each project member has one of these roles in the project:
- Project Admin: Every team member can become Project Admin. They can invite others in all project user roles, update the roles of invitees or even remove them from the project. Additionally, they can rename, archive, unarchive or delete the project. They can use all cloud project features, including searching for clips, creating custom layouts, displaying clip details, or exporting PDF reports, CSVs, and CDLs. Project Admins can also access the project from the desktop applications Silverstack and Livegrade to upload or sync their library information or retrieve looks. Learn more: Look Matching with Silverstack Lab.
- Project Member: Every team member can be invited as a Project Member. In the Project Info Panel, they can see who else is part of the project. Regular project members can use all cloud project features, including searching for clips, creating custom layouts, displaying clip details, or exporting PDF reports, CSVs, and CDLs. Project Admins can also access the project from the desktop applications Silverstack and Livegrade to upload or sync their library information or retrieve looks. Learn more: Look Matching with Silverstack Lab.
- External User: Everyone can be invited as an External User with their email address, and they don’t need to be part of the team. External users can visit the ShotHub project via the web browser to access library information in a “read-only” mode. They can not see other members in the project or connect Silverstack or Livegrade to contribute metadata to a cloud project. External Users can use most cloud project features, including searching for clips, creating custom layouts, displaying clip details, or exporting PDF reports and CDLs.See also Team Roles to learn more about user roles in teams.
The following tables show the possible actions for each user role in a project (in a team or pro plan) and the options included in the API access and in the Free Plan.
