Library slot viewer controls

Viewer controls in library slots are used to review and play back recordings stored in the clip library. They are displayed in a separate bar below the image inside the viewer window, both in the main view and in multi views.

Library slots always operate in playback mode. They allow reviewing individual clips or timecode-synced group recordings, navigating within clips, and managing markers and in and out ranges.

The viewer controls contain the following elements:

Slot label
Displays the label of the library slot.

Slate or clip info label
Click the label to toggle between:

  • Slate information of the loaded clip
    • Standard slating system: scene, shot, take
    • American slating system: scene, take
  • Clip name

Playback speed badge
Displays the current playback speed.

Sync info label Displays a sync icon and the slot characters of all slots that belong to the loaded group recording. This label appears when the clip is part of a synchronized group playback.

Previous frame button
Moves the playhead to the previous frame.

Next frame button
Moves the playhead to the next frame.

Play button
Starts or pauses playback. The button is blue during playback.

Jump to previous marker button
Moves the playhead to the previous marker.

Jump to next marker button
Moves the playhead to the next marker.

Set marker button
Sets a marker at the current playhead position. Depending on the library settings, this can also act as a group marker button.

Jump to previous in button
Cycles backward through existing in-points in the clip.

Jump to next in button
Cycles forward through existing in-points in the clip.

Set or move in button
Sets a new in-point at the current position or moves an existing in-point.

Set or move out button
Sets a new out-point at the current position or moves an existing out-point.

Timecode label
Displays the timecode of the loaded clip at the current playhead position.

Ranges playback mode button
Toggles between the following playback modes:

  • Ignore ranges
  • Current range
  • All ranges

Loop playback button
Enables or disables loop playback. This can be combined with the selected ranges playback mode.

Scrub bar
Displays the clip timeline.

Elapsed time label
Displays the elapsed duration at the current playhead position.

Playhead
Indicates the current position within the scrub bar.

In and out ranges
Displays ranges visually in the scrub bar. Depending on the selected ranges playback mode, they appear highlighted or dimmed.

Markers
Displays markers in the scrub bar. The selected marker is shown as a filled symbol. Other markers are shown as outlined symbols.

Remaining time label
Displays the remaining duration of the loaded clip from the current playhead position.
