Composite slot viewer controls
Viewer controls in composite slots are used to control recording and playback of composite views that combine multiple source slots. They are displayed in a separate bar below the image inside the viewer window, both in the main view and in multi views.
Composite slots combine signals from input slots and/or library slots into a single view using different layout options such as side-by-side, grid, swipe, or overlay layouts.
Composite slots provide two types of viewer controls:
- Playback controls
- Recording controls
You can switch between these control sets using the control mode toggle.
Playback controls in composite slots#
Playback controls allow reviewing composite recordings or synchronized playback of the composite sources.
Slot labelDisplays the label of the composite slot. Clicking the label cycles through the controls of the composite slot and the controls of its individual source slots.
Control mode toggle
Switches between playback controls and recording controls.
Playback speed badge
Displays the current playback speed. This badge appears only when the viewer controls of a source slot are shown.
Play button
Starts or pauses playback. The button is blue during playback.
Timecode label
Displays the timecode at the current playhead position.
Scrub bar
Displays the timeline of the loaded recording.
Elapsed time label
Displays the elapsed duration at the current playhead position.
Playhead
Indicates the current position within the scrub bar.
Remaining time label
Displays the remaining duration from the current playhead position.
Recording controls in composite slots#
Recording controls allow recording the composite view together with the input slots.
Slot label
Displays the label of the composite slot. Clicking the label cycles through the controls of the composite slot and the controls of its individual source slots.
Control mode toggle
Switches between recording controls and playback controls.
Record button
Starts or stops recording. The button is red during recording.
Set marker button
Sets a marker at the current position during recording.
Set in button
Sets a new in-point or moves an existing in-point to the current position.
Set out button
Sets a new out-point or moves an existing out-point to the current position.
Timecode label
Displays the timecode of the recording.
Scrub bar
Displays the timeline of the ongoing recording.
Elapsed time label
Displays the elapsed duration of the current recording.
