Output slot settings
The output slot settings display configuration and status information for the currently selected output slot. They provide an overview of the slot type, source configuration, destination configuration, and filter settings for the outgoing signal. Output slots also display the related filter settings of their configured source slots.
The settings are shown in the slot panel in the upper-right area of the main window.
Output slot settings
Opening output slot settings#
To view the settings:
- Select an output slot in the Slots view.
- Open the Slot Settings tab in the slot panel.
Slot header#
The slot header displays information about the selected output slot.
Slot type label
Displays the slot type. For output slots, the value Output Slot cannot be edited.
Slot label text field
Displays the slot label and allows editing the slot name.
Slot source and destination options#
Source label
Displays the configured source slot. The source can be an input slot, library slot, composite slot, or follow the currently selected slot. A reveal button selects the source slot.
Slot follows selection button
Sets the output slot to automatically change its source to the currently selected input slot, library slot, or composite slot.
Force slot to live video button
Forces the output slot to always display the live signal of its configured source slot. If the source slot is playing back a clip, the output slot still displays the live signal.
Destination label
Displays the currently configured output device. An ellipsis button opens the output configuration in the Slot Manager.
Filter settings#
Video filters can be applied to output slots to modify the appearance of the outgoing signal.
Add filter button
Adds a new filter to the filter chain.
Filter chain
Displays the filters applied to the slot. Filters are processed sequentially in the order shown. The order can be changed by dragging filters within the chain.
Output slots also display the related filter settings of their configured source slots. These settings can be adjusted live from the output slot. Changes to filter parameters cannot be saved for loaded clips.
