Output slot card

The output slot card represents an output slot in the Slots view. It displays the signal that is sent to a configured output device or stream.

Output slots allow routing signals from input slots, library slots, or composite slots to external displays or streaming destinations.

Slot header#

The slot header contains identifiers and status indicators for the output slot.

Slot label label
Displays the configured label of the output slot.

Device type indicator
Indicates the technology of the configured output device.

Selection indicators#

The border and fill color of the slot card indicate selection states.

Preview#

The preview area displays the video signal currently routed to the output slot.

Depending on the configured source, the preview may display:

  • a live signal from an input slot
  • playback from a library slot
  • a composite signal generated by a composite slot

Quick routing actions#

The output slot card provides quick controls for changing the source behavior of the output slot.

Slot follows selection button
Sets the output slot to automatically change its source to the currently selected input slot, library slot, or composite slot.

Force slot to live video button
Forces the output slot to always display the live signal of its configured source slot. If the source slot is playing back a clip, the output slot still shows the live input signal.
