Multiple window layouts

Reeltime provides multiple window layouts that are optimized for different tasks and on-set workflows. Depending on what you are doing, you can switch between layouts that either show the full application interface or focus on a specific area of the UI.

Main View layout#

The Main View layout provides access to all main parts of the application in a single window. It includes:

  • the slots view with sections for input slots, library slots, composite slots, and output slots
  • the main viewer with the viewer controls for the currently selected slot
  • the slot detail view with tabs for slot settings, global metadata and in/out ranges and markers
  • the clip library

This layout is best suited when you want to work with the full Reeltime interface and need access to several areas of the application at the same time.

Main Viewer full screen#

You can open the Main Viewer signal in full screen without UI elements via the View > Enter Main Viewer Full Screen menu item. The same function is also available via the assigned keyboard shortcut or a Stream Deck controller action.

To leave full screen mode, press the Esc key or use the same shortcut or Stream Deck action again.

Multi View layouts#

Multi View layouts are designed to display and control multiple slots simultaneously. Each layout shows viewers and controls for all active slots, depending on the selected slot type:

  • Input slots (multi view)
  • Library slots (multi view)
  • Output slots (multi view)
Tip: Multi View layouts are optimized for monitoring multiple camera feeds at once, even on smaller screens without a dedicated SDI monitor.

The layout automatically adapts its grid and sizing based on the number of configured slots and supports up to 3 × 3 (nine slots).

The global metadata panel in Multi View layouts works similarly to the one in the Main View layout but uses a horizontal layout with larger text fields. You can:

  • increase or decrease values using the arrow up and down keys
  • move between fields using Tab and Shift + Tab

A picker in the toolbar, as well as corresponding Stream Deck controller actions, allows you to quickly switch between the available window layouts.
