Look import

Livegrade supports importing the following look formats

ASC-CDL (*.cdl)
3D LUT (*.cube)
1D LUT (*.cube)
ACES Metadata File (*.amf)
Pomfort Look (*.pfl)
Pomfort Look Archive (*.pfla)

Import ASC-CDL (*.cdl)#

If you want to use an external CDL file in Livegrade, you have the following options:

Load a CDL into current look
Import a CDL as Shot
Import a CDL as Look Preset

Load a CDL into current look#

To import a CDL in order to use it in the current look

Press on the Gearwheel button within a CDL node
Click Load ASC-CDL (*.cdl)
Select the *.cdl file from your hard drive
Click on Open to load the file

Import a CDL as Shot#

To import a CDL into the shot library

In the main menu, select
- Shot Library > Import Look as Shot > [ASC-CDL (*.cdl)]
Select the *.cdl file from your hard drive
Click on Open to load the file

Import a CDL as Look Preset#

To import a CDL into the look library

In the main menu, select
- Look and Filter > Presets > Import Look as Look Preset > [ASC-CDL (*.cdl)]
Select the *.cdl file from your hard drive
Click on Open to load the file.

Import 3D LUT (*.cube)#

Load a 3D LUT into current look#

To import a 3D LUT in order to use it in the current look

Press on the Load button within a 3D LUT node
Select the *.cube file from your hard drive
If you are loading a LUT which converts the image into a display referred colorspace, click on Show Options and select the Output Colorspace accordingly.
Click on Open to load the file

Import 1D LUT (*.cube)#

Load a 1D LUT into current look#

To import a 1D LUT in order to use it in the current look

Press on the Load button within a 1D LUT node
Select the *.cube file from your hard drive
Click on Open to load the file

Import ACES Metadata File (*.amf)#

If you want to use an external ACES Metadata File (the “AMF) in Livegrade, you have the following options:

Import an AMF as Shot
Import an AMF as Look Preset

Import an AMF as Shot#

To import an AMF into the shot library

In the main menu, select
- Shot Library > Import Look as Shot > [ACES Metadata File (*.amf)]
Select the *.amf file from your hard drive
Click on Open to load the file

Import an AMF as Look Preset#

To import an AMF into the look library

In the main menu, select
- Look and Filter > Presets > Import Look as Look Preset > [ACES Metadata File (*.amf)]
Select the *.cdl file from your hard drive
Click on Open to load the file

Mapping between AMF elements and a Livegrade look#

Import Pomfort Look (*.pfl)#

If you want to import a Pomfort Look (the “PFL”) in Livegrade, you have the following options:

Import a PFL as Shot
Import a PFL as Look Preset

Import a PFL as Shot#

To import a PFL into the shot library

In the main menu, select
- Shot Library > Import Look as Shot > [Pomfort Look (*.pfl)]
Select the *.pfl file from your hard drive
Click on Open to load the file

Import a PFL as Look Preset#

To import a PFL into the look library

In the main menu, select
- Look and Filter > Presets > Import Look as Look Preset > [Pomfort Look (*.pfl)]
Select the *.pfl file from your hard drive
Click on Open to load the file.

Import Pomfort Look Archive (*.pfla)#

If you want to import looks within a Pomfort Look Archive (the “PFLA”) in Livegrade, you have the following options:

Import a PFLA as Shots
Import a PFLA as Look Presets

Import a PFLA as Shots#

To import multiple looks from a PFLA into the shot library

In the main menu, select
- File > [Import Look Archive (PFLA) …]
Select the *.pfla file from your hard drive
Click on Show Options and select “Import looks only (without media)”
Click on Open to load the file

Import a PFLA as Look Presets#

To import multiple looks from a PFLA into the look library

In the main menu, select
- Look and Filter > Presets > [Import Look Presets as Look Archive (PFLA) …]
Select the *.pfla file from your hard drive
Click on Open to load the file
