Export shot(s) as
The Export Shot(s) As dialog allows to export looks from multiple shots together with an associated reference still.
“Export Shot As…” can be opened
- via the Share button on the very right of the toolbar
- via the contextual menu of selected slots > [Export Shot(s) As…]
- via the main menu File > [Export Shot(s) As…]
The “Export Shot(s) As…” dialog lets you choose from the following options:
Filename textfield
Sets the name of the exported file
Export Look dropdown menu
Select the file format of the look. See Export Look options for more details.
Naming Scheme dropdown menu
Allows you to choose the desired file naming scheme for your exported images.
Export Still Images dropdown menu
Choose the desired option for exporting a still image together with the look file. If the shot contains a clip as a reference medium, the thumbnail frame will be used to generate the exported image. You can choose which format the image file shall be, and if the look and/or input filters shall be applied.
File Type dropdown menu
Allows you to choose the image file type for your exported images ( jpeg, tiff, or heic).
Apply Look checkbox
Lets you select if the look should be applied to the exported image.
Apply Input Slot Filters checkbox
Lets you select if input slot filters should be applied to the exported image.
Export Look options#
- ASC-CDL (*.cdl): Exports an ASC-CDL per shot.
- The exported CDL combines all CDL and Saturation nodes of a shot’s look in one single ASC-CDL.
- 3D LUT, 1D LUT and curve nodes won’t be exported.
- ASC-CDL + 3D LUT 33x33x33 [combo] (*.cdl): Exports an ASC-CDL and a 33x33x33 3D LUT per shot.
- The exported CDL combines all CDL and Saturation nodes of a shot’s look in one single ASC-CDL.
- The exported 3D LUT combines all 3D LUT, 1D LUT and curve nodes in one single 3D LUT.
- ASC-CDL + 3D LUT 65x65x65 [combo] (*.cdl): Exports an ASC-CDL and a 65x65x65 3D LUT per shot.
- The exported CDL combines all CDL and Saturation nodes of a shot’s look in one single ASC-CDL.
- The exported 3D LUT combines all 3D LUT, 1D LUT and curve nodes in one single 3D LUT.
- Pomfort Look Exchange Format (*.pfl): Exports a Pomfort Look File that can be used to transport looks to another Livegrade or Silverstack instance. It will contain every node of the look. You can learn about transporting looks from Livegrade to Silverstack in the article Transferring Looks from Livegrade to Silverstack.
- 3D LUT 33x33x33 (*.cube): Exports a 33x33x33 3D LUT which includes all nodes of the shot’s look. If the shot was created in ACES grading mode, it also contains input and output transform.
- 3D LUT 65x65x65 (*.cube): Exports a 65x65x65 3D LUT which includes all nodes of the shot’s look. If the shot was created in ACES grading mode, it also contains input and output transform.
Export look options for ACES looks#
If you select the according ACES grading modes the export options will also include:
- ACES Metadata File (AMF): Exports an ACES Metadata File per shot. The AMF is an XML-based format specified by ACES for interchanging the entire setup of an ACES pipeline, including IDT, and ODT, ACES version information for all transforms, and ASC-CDL including its working color space.
- The CDL inside the AMF combines all CDL and Saturation nodes of a shot’s look in one single ASC-CDL.
- Custom IDTs will be exported as CLF. If a CLF is used for multiple shots as custom IDT, it will only be exported once.
- ACES Metadata File (AMF) + CLF [combo]: Exports an ACES Metadata File per shot. The AMF is an XML-based format specified by ACES for interchanging the entire setup of an ACES pipeline, including IDT, and ODT, ACES version information for all transforms, and ASC-CDL including its working color space.
- The CDL inside the AMF combines all CDL and Saturation nodes of a shot’s look in one single ASC-CDL.
- Custom IDTs will be exported as CLF. If a CLF is used for multiple shots as custom IDT, it will only be exported once.
- LMTs used in LMT nodes will be exported as CLF. If a CLF is used as LMT for multiple shots, it will only be exported once. Empty LMT nodes won’t be exported as CLF.
- All curve nodes will be combined and exported as CLF.
