Streams tab
The Streams tab of the sidebar defines what a monitor window of Livegrade Cinema shows. It contains the layout of the window and the assignment of a stream to each position in that layout.
The settings in this tab apply to the current window only. Every window has its own layout and its own stream assignment.
Layout#
The “Layout” section holds a picker with the available layouts. Livegrade Cinema offers six:
| Layout | Arrangement |
|---|---|
| 1 viewer | A single stream filling the window. |
| 2 viewers | Two streams side by side. |
| 2 viewers, stacked | Two streams above each other. |
| 3 viewers | Three streams side by side. |
| 3 viewers, stacked | Three streams above each other. |
| 4 viewers | Four streams in a two-by-two grid. |
The layouts with one large and several small viewers that the app offers on iPhone and iPad are not available on Apple Vision Pro. But you can achieve a similar setup by using multiple windows of different sizes.
Changing to a layout with fewer positions keeps the assignments of the remaining positions.
Stream assignment#
Below the layout picker, one picker per position of the current layout is shown.
Select Stream picker
Opens a menu of the available streams, grouped by server. Selecting an entry assigns that stream to the position. A position that has no stream shows “Select Stream”.
Empty menu item
Removes the stream from the position. The entry is at the end of the menu.
If a connected server provides no streams, its group shows “No Local Stream Outputs.”. Stream names correspond to the names of the local stream outputs configured in Livegrade.
When more than one server is connected, an assigned position additionally shows the name of the server providing the stream.
Assignment behavior#
A stream is shown in exactly one position at a time. Assigning a stream that is already in use moves it to the new position and clears the previous one.
Once the last empty position of the layout has been filled, the sidebar hides automatically.
Layout and stream assignment are stored per window and restored when the app is started again.
