Servers tab
The Servers tab of the sidebar manages the connections of Livegrade Cinema to the machines that provide the streams. It lists the servers this device is paired with and the servers found in the local network, and it contains the pairing dialog.
The tab is selected by default when no server is connected yet.
Servers section#
The “Servers” section lists the servers this device knows. Each row shows the product icon, the name of the server, and its current state.
The plus button in the section header opens the Server Details dialog for adding a server manually.
If no server has been added, the section shows “No Livegrade servers added.” with the hint “Tap on a discovered server or add one manually using the plus button.”
Connection states#

| “Connecting…” | The connection is being established. |
| “Connected” | The connection is established and streams are available. |
| “Failed to connect” | The connection attempt did not succeed. |
| “Waiting for discovery…” | The server has not been found in the network yet. |
| “Enter join code” | The server requires pairing; the row offers the Enter Join Code… button instead of a state line. |
| “Suspended” | Streaming has been suspended on the server. |
Row actions#
Edit menu item
Opens the Server Details dialog for the server.
Forget menu item
Removes the server and the pairing of this device with it. Pairing again requires a new join code.
Disconnect swipe action
Closes the connection to the server without removing it.
Discovered section#
The “Discovered” section lists the servers found in the local network. Discovery runs while the sidebar is visible. Tapping a row starts the connection: current servers continue with the pairing dialog, servers using the legacy protocol ask for the streaming password.
If nothing is found, the section shows “No Livegrade servers found.” with the hint “Make sure you are in the same network as the server.”
Server Details dialog#
The dialog is titled “Server Details”. It is used both for adding a server manually and for editing a known one.
Host field
The IP address of the machine running Livegrade, with “192.168.0.2” as the example value. An indicator next to the field shows whether the server can be reached and which pairing method it supports.
Join Code field
The join code created on the server, in the form “XXXX-XXXX-XXXX”. The hint below the field reads “Create a join code on the server to pair this device.”
Password field
Shown instead of the join code for servers using the legacy protocol. The hint reads “Enter the server’s streaming password.”
Pair button
Completes the pairing with the entered join code. For legacy servers the button is labeled Connect
, and for a server that is already paired Done
.
Cancel button
Closes the dialog without changing the configuration.
Pairing messages#

| “Wrong or expired join code” | The code is not valid, or it has already been used or expired. |
| “Too many attempts — try again in a minute” | Too many failed attempts; further attempts are blocked temporarily. |
| “The server denied access for this device” | The server rejected the pairing of this device. |
| “This server does not support code pairing” | The server uses the legacy protocol and expects a streaming password. |
| “Could not reach the server” | The server did not respond. |
| “Not a pairing code” | The entered text is not a join code. |
| “Could not connect to server” | The connection to the entered host could not be established. |
Paired server details#
For a server that is already paired, the dialog shows a “Status” section instead of the credential fields:
Connection row
The current connection state with its symbol.
Address row
The address under which the server is reached.
Streams row
The names of the streams the server currently provides.
Forget button
Removes the server and the pairing of this device with it.
