Immersive view
The immersive view of Livegrade Cinema shows a stereo stream projected around the viewer instead of on a flat screen. It is the receiving end of the Immersive Video Local Stream output and displays the stereo image prepared by the Immersive Video filter on the sending machine.
The immersive view replaces the view of the physical surroundings. Use it while seated and stationary, and make sure the surroundings are safe before entering.
Entering the immersive view#
A single tap on a stream in a Monitor window shows its controls. The button in the upper right corner of the image area then opens the immersive view.
Which mode the button opens is determined by the codec of the stream: immersive local streams open the immersive view, regular local streams open the Cinema view.
Entering hides all windows of the app. They are restored when the immersive view is left.
The level of immersion is set with the Digital Crown of the Apple Vision Pro. The view opens at an immersion of 75 percent, so that part of the physical surroundings stays visible around the image.
Immersive panel#
A tap on the image shows and hides the panel. It appears once at the position the viewer is looking at and then stays in place.
Stream: label
The name of the stream being shown, together with the slate information of the current signal, and a colored dot for the reception state. While the sending slot is recording, a red “REC” indicator is shown next to it.
Leave Immersive View button
Leaves the immersive view and restores the windows.
The panel offers no image settings. The viewing controls of the Immersive Video filter — Projection, Pan, Tilt, and Focal Len. — act on the viewer in Livegrade and do not change the streamed picture.
Leaving the immersive view#
The immersive view is left with the Leave Immersive View button, or with the Digital Crown of the Apple Vision Pro.
If the stream stops delivering frames for several seconds, the immersive view closes by itself and the windows are restored.
