Exporting an AMF to DaVinci Resolve

Livegrade allows you to export your looks as an ACES Metadata File – the so-called AMF.

In this article, we will guide you through the individual steps to export your ACES look as AMF and to import it into DaVinci Resolve 20 (or later).

Export a look as AMF#

• Right-click on the shot(s) you want to export
• Select “Export Shot(s) as…”
• In the opening dialog, choose ACES File + CLF combo (*.amf) as the look format

Export Look as AMF

• Copy the exported AMF(s), including the CLF(s), to your users’ AMF transforms directory of your Resolve installation, which is usually located here: Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/AcesTransforms/AMF
• Start DaVinci Resolve
• Right-click on the clip where you want to apply the AMF and choose your AMF in the “Clip AMF” sub menu
• Now, your AMF, including CDL and CLF corrections, should be applied to the clipRight-click on your node and choose “Show Compound Node” to reveal the content of the compound node
